Our September project is “Tree of Life: Wire Wrap Palm Tree Pendant” This is a popular jewelry accessory. There are many different versions of the tree of life pendant, and once you learn the basic steps, you can easily add your own unique spin using these basic techniques. In this project, we will be creating a palm tree. With this project, you will learn how to make the outer hoop frame as well as how to make the twisted roots, trunk, and branches. Project – Sequins and Beads- How Belly Dance Costumes Are Embellished Take a close-up look at the sparklies and shinies on belly dance costumes and learn what materials and techniques are used to make them glitter. We'll see a few different styles and talk about what goes into them. We'll learn a commonly used, easy to execute stitch for attaching beads and sequins to felt and use it to embellish a small sampler. This sampler can be used as a brooch or a hanging felt Christmas decoration. Click here for all the details.
