About the Austin Bead Society
The Austin Bead Society was formed in October, 1990. The objectives of the Society are to promote education and research regarding beads and bead-related subjects, and to provide support to bead collectors, designers, and enthusiasts.
The Austin Bead Society meets the fourth Monday of the month – from 6:30-8:30pm,
except in May–if the 4th Monday is Memorial Day, then we meet on the 3rd Monday;
and in December, we do not meet.
With circumstances being so unpredictable these days, we will be deciding on a monthly basis whether to have an in-person and Zoom meeting or just a Zoom only meeting.
We want people to be well and it will depend on the number of COVID cases in the Austin area.
Please check under the heading in the upper right corner – NEXT ABS MEETING – for the location of that month’s meeting.
When the meeting is an in-person meeting, we’re meeting at Austin Bead Gallery Austin Bead Gallery – 8440 Burnet Rd STE 100A, Austin, TX 78757 Click here to see a map.
If we’re meeting via Zoom, we’ll send out the Zoom info to join the meeting closer to the date, if you’re a member.
Our monthly meetings include a short business meeting and an educational project. If you’re not a member yet, you are welcome to visit a monthly meeting to see what we’re about. If you want to attend, email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll send you details.

Workshops are open to any Austin Bead Society member in good standing. If it is a “for fee” workshop and there are seats available, openings will be available to the public at an additional fee.
Membership is open to all. We’d love to have you join in the fun. Feel free to visit a monthly meeting before actually joining to see what we’re all about.
