Embroidered Rope Bangle

Learn to think about bead embroidery in new, 3-dimensional ways. We will transform a bungee cord into a bangle bracelet and use basic bead embroidery to add decorative embellishments with size 15 beads. Bring one color of beads for a dramatic pop of color or many colors to create stripes, rainbows. or other patterns. This unisex design is fun to make and wear.
We will be using:
- 1 Bungee Cord or “tie down”, at least 12″ long & approx. diameter: 5/16″
- Ultrasuede, a strip .5″ wide x 9″ long (dark color recommended)
- E6000 glue
- lighter
- full size scissors
- bead mat or beading surface
- Size 10 beading needles
- 6 lb. Fireline
- Size 15 seed beads (about 4 grams) I used 8 colors in my example
- flat nose pliers to pull your needle (optional)
