Bead Embroidered Cabochon Workshop – 2017

In this beginner level class Nora will teach you how to bead embroider a bezel around a cabochon. Learning this skill is the first step in making those beautiful bead embroidered necklaces, bracelets, and earrings that everybody just drools over. As a bonus, you will also learn how to make beaded links to connect the cabochon.

In this class, Nora will discuss the materials used in bead embroidery, from foundation to thread choices, needles, adhesives, and backing materials. She will also discuss different items that can be used as a focal piece in your project

The class requires use of the kit that will be provided and is included in the cost of the class. The kit includes all the supplies you will need to create your own beautiful piece. Nora wants to ensure that everybody has great success in their learning experience and the best way to ensure that is to start with the right materials.

The kit includes:

Glass Cabochon, pre-glued onto beading foundation

Ultrasuede

Seed beads

Wire

Chain

Clasp

Swarovski Bicone Crystals

Beading needle

Beading thread

Thread holder

Each student will need to bring:

Beading mat

Small sharp scissors

Flush wire cutters

Round nose pliers

2 pair flat or chainnose pliers (only 1 if using jump ring opener)

Jump ring opener (optional)
