Chain, Chain, Chain
Presented by Karen Meador
Long necklaces are “in” and you can create your own chain and bead necklace at the February meeting. We will work on various types of chain links, make jump rings and utilize beaded links. If desired, participants will shape a wire pendant and embellish it with charms and beads. For those familiar with these techniques, disks may be purchased for a nominal fee and embossed. These can be added to the chain.
Bring: 20g, 18g, 16g and 14g copper wire
26g copper sheet or about 4 copper disks
Metal hole punch
Metal cutting shears
Beads (for bead links)
Round nose pliers
Bail making pliers
Bench block and hammer
Head pins for pendants
Karen will have extra supplies for a nominal fee if you don’t have something on the supply list. If you need all the metal or wire, please email her so this kit can be put together for you ahead of time: Karen@dreamcatcherranch.net.
